Trumpeter Me 262

This sheet is the first of a trio of decal sets made for the Trumpeter Me 262 kit. The sets include brief histories for each aircraft and colour cross-references. This one offers three ‘Schwalben’ from JG 7, each bearing the distinctive wide red and blue stripe around their rear fuselage section.
First is the Me 262A-2a of Ofhr. Hans-Guido Mutke, of 9./JG 7, Prague, spring 1945. The other two aircraft are A-la models, one being the mount of JG 7 Kommodore Maj. Theodor Weissenberger at Kaltenkirchen in January, 1945, and the third machine was flown by Ofw. Heinz Arnold and Lt. Fritz Muller of ll./JG 7 based in Prague during the spring of 1945. This is the aircraft currently displayed in restored condition in the US National Air & Space Museum.
