This sheet contains decals for an F3H-2N Demon, VF-14, USS Franklin D Roosevelt (CVL-42), NAS Cecil Field, FL, 1957 and F3B-19 Demon, VF-33, USS Shangri-La (CVA-38), NAS Cecil Field, FL, 1963.

Available in 1:48 and 1:32 scales, these two-sheet sets cover three 363rd TFW machines with ‘nose art’: MAX THRUST, a machine with an F-16 flying around a pair of female figures, HOOTER’S STANDARDS, which features a reclining female figure and EAT MY ShoRTS HUSSEIN, which features the ‘Bart Simpson’ character. The

Peter Jones is probably best remembered as the original voice of the ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’, but he was for many years a regular on the radio show ‘Just A Minute’, and I remember vividly his reaction when given for his 60-second subject the title ‘Ignorance’. He was all in favour of it, on the basis that when he found something he knew nothing about he was strongly motivated to remedy the gap in his knowledge.
When a kit of an aircraft that intrigues me but of which I know very little lands on my workbench, especially if it’s up for review, I frequently have to rely for information on the instructions (you see, I do read them when necessary!). These often carry a short description of the aircraft, but these can be of very variable quality. Magna Models’ choices often fall into this category, and one of their additional virtues is that as well as a description they usually include additional references for their subject; this is particularly useful, and in their recent choice of the Folland test-beds they nominated the
Aeroplane Monthly for June 1991.
